Sometimes we as parents need insights as to how we should proceed with our children. In this section we will give you real life examples of situations that were handled well or perhaps were handled poorly, both can be helpful. Proverbs 6:20-22 tells us “My son, observe the commandments of your father and do not forsake the teaching of your mother; bind them continually on your heart, tie them around your neck. When you walk about they will guide you; when you sleep they will watch over you; and when you awake, they will talk to you.” We better make sure that our teaching and our actions line up in the proper way or we will actually be teaching our children the wrong things. I know a man who told his son growing up “watch me and anything you see me do you can do”. Because he was modeling Christ the real focus was on Jesus. |
