Chapels are very similar to devotionals except they are longer and more in depth. You character and behavior as a coach and person will be watched like a hawk, especially when people know you claim to be a Christian coach. St. Francis of Assisi said, “Preach the gospel at all times, if necessary use words”. Your integrity opens the door to the Gospel but like Assisi, the Bible makes it clear in Romans 10:17 that “faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ”. We must “always be ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence.” I Peter 3:15 You may be the only Bible your players and parents ever read but sometimes they need the talking version. Let them know why you are a well organized, excellent, caring coach. |
